Jennifer Carpenter Bio
American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was born on
December 7th, 1979. She is most well-known for her character Debra Morgan in
Showtime's Dexter. In 2009, she was awarded the Saturn Award. Also, she was
recognized for her role as Rebecca Harris on CBS's Limitless. Carpenter began
her character in the role of Erica Shepherd in The Enemy Within which is which
is an NBC drama. Carpenter was initially acknowledged for her role in the role
of Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Carpenter was awarded the 2006 MTV
Movie Award, for "Best Frightened Performer" and an Hollywood Life
Breakthrough Award. She was also awarded the "Breakout Performer", at
the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C.
Hall. They were married in 2008, after which they relocated to California. Hall
and Carpenter released an announcement in December 2010, announcing their
split. They remain close to each other. Carpenter and Seth Avett, musician,
were announced as married and expecting their first baby on February 10, 2015.
The news was announced in the summer of 2015 that Carpenter gave the birth of a
baby boy in May of 2015. Carpenter also admitted she was eight and one-half
months pregnant when she began filming Limitless the pilot episode. Carpenter
and Avett were married in May of 2016.
