Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora is a British music producer and singer. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At the age of one, her family decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. She was raised in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at a young age. In 2004, she was a part of the British film Spivs. After a successful audition for Eurovision Your Country requires You (BBC One) She was selected to represent Britain in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. She then opted out of the contest after several episodes, feeling that the stage was not prepared. Ora has released her first album in 2007, when she was featured on the song of Craig David titled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance on "Where’s Your Love" with TinchyStryder. Ora began singing in bars throughout London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z, an A&R informed Roc Nation about Ora. Ora was featured in Jay-Z’s 2009 music video "Young Forever", and "Over" from Drake. Ora caught the attention of Jay-Z and he quietly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in the commercial for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a proprietor of a pub and she started singing in the same pub. Counts Gwen Stefani as a major influence in the way she conducts herself and her No Doubt band's "Don't speak" (1996) as one of her favorite songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel that received the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel in 1999.She was thought of to play Iris West in Justice League (2017) before KierseyClemons was chosen as the character. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran are friends.
