Her parents moved to Dallas, Texas shortly after her birth. She graduated from
Booker T. Washington High School, Performing and Visual Arts situated in the
Arts District. She obtained her BFA in acting at Stephens College, and also
went to the British American Drama Academy. She also worked for six years at
the Dallas Theatre Center, and one year with the Encore Company. Prior to her
debut on the big screen, she started her acting career at the theater. Her
stage credits include productions of "As As You like It", "A
Funny Thing was Happening on the Way to the Forum", "Measure for
Measure", "Baby" and "Chicago" along with many more.
Her most memorable appearance was in Michael Cristofer's HBO TV series Gia
(1998) which she starred in alongside Angelina Jolie. She made her name famous
for both critics and viewers. Following with the sci-fi time-travel adventure
Frequency (2000) featuring Dennis Quaid and Neil LaBute's much-anticipated
Nurse Betty (2000) opposite Renee Zellweger, Elizabeth showed her impressive
acting abilities. Elizabeth Mitchell has many credits in theaters, television
series and films. She continues to be an excellent actor. While the filming of
Frequency ((2000)), she injured her nose. In 1994, she filmed a Hertz
Rent-A-Car commercial but "they removed it due to the O.J. thing." In
1995, she lived with boyfriend David Lee Smith (ex-Brent on the soap One Life
to Live (1968)) in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Their parents are Dallas-based
real estate and tax lawyers who have their own firm. They are situated just
five blocks from their Dallas home. After playing the role of Rosalind in
"As You Like It" for a few years, Rosalind returned to the U.S. Her
birthplace was in Los Angeles, California in the year 1970. Her parents later
moved to Dallas in Texas. She attended Booker T. Washington High School of the
Performing and Visual Arts in the downtown area of Dallas, Texas. She graduated
from Stephens College in 1991 and received a Fine Arts Degree. The actor was in
Man and Boy (2002) alongside Ioan Gruffudd. It ran on BBC 1 TV in March 2002.
