Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the US. She previously worked as the TV reporter for ABC News. Her tenures
as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The
View (2015-2018) are popular. She was also the co-anchor of America This
Morning as well as World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the limited opportunities on TV she
worked in sales for radio. After a year of working as a production assistant
for WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually able to report and anchor occasionally. She
was the anchor for weekends for WCPO TV in Cincinnati and the weekday anchor at
WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 to 2005. When her contract ended, she became a
anchor and reporter for sports at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from
November 2005 to December 2011. In December 2011, she was recruited by ABC News
the news division of ABC. On January 2, 2012, she made her debut on the
network's World News Now and America This Morning. In this period, she played a
role as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as being a correspondent.
Then she was promoted to an New York-based reporter on all ABC News programs.
She hosted America This Morning and World News Now's final show on January 22
2013. On August 9, 2014, she made her debut as co-anchor on Good Morning
America Weekend, following the departure of Bianna Golodryga. She moved to
Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she will be joining The View as a cohost for
season 19. Her contract was renewed by ABC for its 20th season on August 3.
Season 21 also got renewed, with her co-hosting duties. During the series' 22nd
and 21st seasons she mostly appeared during the series' Friday-night episodes.
